#61663 - RE: What is the future of 8051?
Responding to: ???'s previous message
Hello All,

We have completed a project on a PLC using MCS-51 µC.It has 8 fixed inputs ,8 fixed outputs and 8 configurable I/O.The coding for the PLC is done using a simple language similar that of S5.The IDE was developed using VB.We at present in talks with various people for funding this project.
We have implemented a round robin method to execute the code...later planning to convert it into round robin with interrupts.
The main reason why is PLC is used in industries is to minimise the time required to design a machine's logic...rather than concentrating on the architecture, hardware etc.
