I think you are taking this thing out of context. It was meant for this forum only. No, I think you are out of context. The notation Michael suggests is defined by the HTML "language" itself - it is completely independent of operating system, browser, display, forum, or anything else. It really would be informative if you gave a percentage of how many computers this trick would have worked on. because it is defined by the HTML "language" itself, it should work on every computer, in any font; if it doesn't work, that is an error in the implementation. The ALT code that you suggested will work only in the IBM-PC character set. |
