...yuou cannot read two bytes within a single interrupt. and if you need to process the byte right within the ISR, you may do it, but you cannot look ahead for the next byte. Of course you can. There is nothing in the 8051's architecture that prevents processing a second byte in the ISR -- you just use a polled technique. That said, one would always try to avoid having an ISR whose execution time is lengthy enough to justify such an approach. |
