I agree. If nothing else it'll stop bandwidth being wasted with all those posts complaining about SMS in posts.

Incidentally, I think that many of those abbreviations are used on the Indian subcontinent without the users being aware that they derive from SMS, or indeed necessarily knowing what SMS is. You may need to find some other way of explaining why they are forbidden.
