A simple rule:
If the post is written using abbreviations that would be found in a technical paper or college thesis it would be accepted. Anything else should be rejected.

I remember an exchange a while ago:

Erik: stop using SMS.
poster: it is faster for me to type.
Erik: so for one to save a bit of time many should be speding time deciphering the meaning.
