#63033 - RE: Doctors and documentation Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Hi Pravin,
Looks like you are out to write a manual and the end user (EU) of the equipment and the manual will be a doctor. Tough times ahead ! This automatically means that the EU is not going to be worried about any "hardware" facts that you give. So dont overdo the act of multiple levels of nested menus when creating the troubleshooting chart. In any case the EU is just going to reach for the nearest phone when the unit does break down. Emphasis must however be made on issues of safety and reliability and the EU told in clear terms as to when, 1. A simple master reset will sort the issue. 2. A power-off-power-on (POPO) reset is required. 3. The unit has to be withdrawn from use and returned to supplier - that is you. Raghu |
