#63433 - RE: erasing 8751H lock bit
Responding to: ???'s previous message
Interesting. Interesting because I also happen to use a bunch of 8751H's for my hobby projects AND I also happen to use a Needham PB10 to program them! Now the 8751H's that I have are Intel, but the UV erasure definately erases the lock bits too, because these chips come Nortel Meridian 1 PBXs (they use them as a type of copy protection dongle) and the very reason they used this model back them was because they are lockable. I just erase them with UV and reprogram them. All locations show FF when erased. Some of these have been erased at least 30 or 40 times each and I have one (out of a dozen) that cannot be programmed anymore. Anyway this allowed me to get into this hobby almost for free.
