Guys I am using PS/2 keyboard for operator to input various variables rquired for welding and a 20X4 LCD display and these devices are directly connected to microcontroller without any optos or buffers Is there any possibility of data corruption or any other problem while sending or receiving data to these devices. Since particularly the keyboard cord is about 2.5 feets long is there any possibility or RF interference to nearby welding going on. Do I need to use isolation for K/B and LCD as well. Do I need separate supply for these devices and micro.
