1. The C compiler is the SDCC C compiler for 8051 that is bundled along with the development kit. The 8051 system is not an emulator but a starter kit that allows you to download programs from the PC to the flash memory of the target chip (ATMEL 89S8252). After downloading the program the program can be executed by toggling a switch on the board that will now execute the program. The kit is a programmer and a target board for Atmel 89S8252. 2.
