#66659 - RE: Hydraulic steering- Ramani Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Unless it is a real newbie I doubt anyone ever decided by the chip number whether it belongs to particular family, 8051 or otherwise, they usually read the datasheet.
But what is usually understood by emulation is that the user has some kind of control over the execution process of the program and the hardware, so it would be technically correct to call your piece of hardware as starter kit. Even the Cygnal kits which are closer to emulation concept, and far more functional are called development kits and also priced at $99. In fact your piece of hardware can only run code written for the vanilla variety of 8051, not even the Rx2 series of Philips or Atmel. Even the compiler is not your own, so what exactly are you offering? All I can see is that wording is to mislead a greenhorn. |
