Have you tried SourceEdit?
can it do what I listed in my previous post ?

I am sorry, but I do not have the time to find out if a given editor is an editor or a text processor. To find out if a given editor can do column edit, file extension based tabbing and all the other good stuff listed in my previous post require you to actually work with the editor for a day or two.

thus if anyone using editor x can answer the question re features I listed in my previous post with yes, I will try that editor, but I do not have the time to try "the editor Joe likes"
