Yes, VI is an extremely powerful editor, but it is an absolute Abomination from the Pit to actually use!
and VIM proclaims itself as "an improved version of VI". Run away! very fast!! I'd far rather pay the dosh for CodeWright and get an editor that I can actually use without corrupting my mind into the arcane, abstruse, bizarre contortions of VI... No preconceptions there, then... ;-) |
