OK, one last dumb question (hopefully). What does ISP let you do. Does it mean that you don't have to have a burner to program the uP or does it mean that you can change values in the flash mem through code?
An example (Philips P89C66x) you connect the MAX232(equivalent)on your board to the PC serial port. You toggle a few signals (or toggle NoTouch - later) then you run a program free from www.esacademy.com called FlashMagic and download your linker output to the chip.
