"If ypu are not and the other connection to the Rxd/Txd pins is a logical input you will be fine." I read this and had a mental picture of an 8051 built into an atomic bomb with p3.0 driving the trigger circuit as well as being RxD. The obvious caveate would be never use these dual purpose pins unless you design the functions such that they will not affect each other. Terry |
