My end customer is often very brutal in the handling of the equipment.

I have searched and searched and found USB connectors for PCB mount galore, but have yet to find one that mounts standing up on the PCB and has flaps and holes for fastening to the front panel.

I am certain that without front panel attachment my boards will be broken.

If someone has seen such a connector, please let me know
