What are the architectural differences between SRAM and DRAM?
A Static Ram keeps its contents as long as power is applied. a Dynamic RAM keeps its contents for a few milliseconds and must be constantly refreshed or the data is lost. For that reason, using DRAM with a '51 is one of those 'exotic' applications that have no real value, but some do it just to prove that it can be done. Erik |
