I'm considering the ADuC812 as the basis for the next version of my product (a field data logger). I've played with the AD development kit, but now it's time to get serious.

The IAR Embedded Workbench (US $3K) looks good to me for a compiler/simulator etc.,

Problem is, the costs of an emulator (the only one i've found is the Metalink - US $6k plus) seems prohibitive.

Does anyone know of other emulators?
I would appreciate any suggestions as to alternative emluators, or for that matter - compilers/simulators, or even an alternative device.....

here's hoping for some input...
