There's a ton of other reasons, amongst most important a bunch of built-in hardware making it almost a single chip computer, a lot of general I/O pins, high reliablity and really good support for using it in mebedded applications. If you had to project a candy vending machine, allowed reaction delay about 4s before the customer gets impatient, would you prefer to base it on 8081 or 8052? |
