#76857 - DS1232 & ESD |
Perhaps it is a very silly question for the advanced 8051 people but here it goes. i ask patience for the little apprentice
i read maxim's datasheet of DS1232 and i never read anything about protection against ESD or similar http://www.maxim-ic.com/quick_view2.cfm/qv_pk/2650 But i found in analog the replacement ADM1232 telling it's device is sensitive to ESD http://www.analog.com/UploadedF...1232_b.pdf I'm questioning myself if DS1232 is also sensitive to ESD. what i thinks is yes, it is sensitive. How easy is to burn some DS1232 without taking precautions? I'm asking this because stundents (me for example)will have access to a board with ds1232 and they won't take that much precautions (not me :) ) When a device as DS1232 does not warns about ESD should i asume it is very sensitive or i can handle with my bare hands |
