#77555 - RE: Interfacing a parallel port Responding to: ???'s previous message |
hi,
It seems your question is related to PC parallel interface (EPP/ECP) more than to 8051. Anyway, I strongly recommned you to use buffered connection. For example, 74LS245 for parallel interface (better together with opto-isolated schematic) and MAX232 for serial connection. By the way, do you figure out, how you will communicate via parallel interface? Have you enough experience and good documentation about signals and their timings? Regards, Oleg |
