#77855 - Problem solved Responding to: ???'s previous message |
In implementing your (Donald's) suggestion I realized that I had a bug in my monitor program that was sending out the wrong data on MISO. This caused me to believe that the incorrect data was being received by the PC when, in fact, the wrong data was being sent.
So right off I was on the wrong track. Make sure you have 100-150 ohm resistors on all 3 SPI pins at the 8052 side of the cable. I could have sworn I had tried exactly that earlier on but I just tried it again and now it works! Thanks! I must have tried the 100 ohm resistors when I had other problems (at one point I was operating without an oscillator attached to XTAL1/2!) and then not tried it again once the rest of the circuit was working. Anyway, regardless of why it didn't work before it definitely works now. Thanks again! Regards, Craig Steiner |
