Has anyone thought that the institute or the specific faculty may not have enough money for replacing its hardware/tools with modern ones and for supporting its students? Of course teachers many times are out of touch with the real world and this is a major problem for "fighting academia", as it is mentioned above, but lack of money and lack of organisation many times is the REAL problem... You can blame teachers for having their part for lack of organisation, that they are out of touch with the real world, bla, bla, bla, but you can't blame them for lack of money....
