Low end, bare bone stuff with AD574 for ADC and 12bit Burrr-Brown DACs and 8255 based {!} 32 bit wide DIO. Cost around Rs 8,000/= (170 USD). But these are ISA bus cards. Good only for starting on PC_DAS. Not meant for serious work. I think the company is Applied Data Systems in Bangalore. OK they also have other good cards that are economically priced.

Mid segment PCI based cards from Advantech / USA. Very good compromise between price/performance. You get a 100kHz , 16 channel single ended 12 bit ADC + 2 Channel 10 bit DAC + 16 DIO for about Rs 33,000/= ( 700 USD) all inclusive with wiring board , link cable etc. Advantech has distributors in all major metros. High end stuff from National Instruments / USA or Keithly / Germany. Both are located in Bangalore.You get extermely fast ADCs with upto 1Mhz plus sampling , 16 bit / 24 bit resolution, calibration certificates and the works. Prices start from Rs 75,000/= ( 1600 USD ). Also available in PCMCIA formats for ue on Laptops - I normally use these for mobile data acquistion on automotive test setups.
