Dear Kai,
I have been reading your explanation of the modified circuit in detail, in instalments - well quite simply it is a pleasure ! The formulas that you have used are all basic ones and the step by step approach makes them even more simpler. Starting with basic building blocks and merging them into a full circuit is an art, not many graduate into. I have released the circuit for PCB and I am sure it will solve my "stair case" problem.
