Meaning of name. That was an interesting deviation.

Well in some cases names are just abstract - like for instance they can be after a dynasty in mythology. My name is exactly that - RAGHU happens to be a from a dynasty called RAGHUVAMSAM from the famous epic Ramayana.Incidentally I have nothing to do with Ramayana ! And I myself don't know what my second part NATHAN means :-(

We in India have this habit of putting the father's name in front of the individual's name. Raman's son Upadhya writes it as R.Upadhya. And this is a never ending confusion when somebody asks Upadhya what his first name is ? And to confuse things more if R.Upadhya hails from Timbuktoo, there is this habit of calling him Timbuktoo R.Upadhya. Enough ?!
