Crikey! I'm getting ripped off! Obviously cost depends on what options etc.....

I've been using the Telemechanique units. I opened one up to have a look see at how they tick. Not too much under the hood but there is a lot of detail design on the pcb to minimise voltage drop etc and circuit protection. I'd be pushed to make something even half close for the money.
