thanks, guys, for all the info ... i think he wants to use wavecrest motors for the drive .... maybe someday they'll show up in a junkyard somewhere ... i guess it would be better to repair the diesel engine and just use motors for the steering. that is a nice little car wavecrest has pictured. but the future SUV they have pictured does not look like it has enough batteries ...

i like the idea of smaller, autonomous, solar mowerbots working all day ... i knew someone who bought an autonomous electric mower for his yard, after his three-year-old hit the trigger while he was changing the line on his weedeater ... like, ouch, ...
