In such a situation the paste acts as a filler in the valleys "improving" conductivity. We actually routinely lap surfaces to get them flat - especially when using Peltiercells. Apply a smooth layer and press. Wipe off the extruded paste from sides and when bolting, Absolutely disagree entirely. Apply a thin, virtually translucent smear, clamp device to specified limits. Try it. Measure the case temperature. Been there, done that. Changed methods. Steve |
