I was cleaning my computer room this morning (you know vacuum cleaner and mop... ;) and once again I faced the same problem: CABLES! Cables for the printers (and I have two of them), cables for the speakers, for the scanners, for the monitors, for the keyboards, for the modems, for this one, for the other one, cables, cables, cables all over the place!!! And the problem is that each device needs in most of the cases at least two cables: One for the connection with the computer and one for the power supply. Not to mention that all of us we deal with electronics have some more: Oscilloscopes, multimeters, soldering irons, etc. And that means MORE CABLES!

I know that there are some stuff that look like pipes that you insert all your cables in them. Their most common use is in Hi-Fi stereos, where you have seperate amplifier (or amplifiers, if you have a preamplifier and a power one), DVD player, radio receiver, cassete player, turntable, etc. etc. and again many cables for each one. The difference here is that all the cables of all your players start from the same place and end-up in the same place (all the cables for the signals end-up to your amplifier and all the cables for the power supply end-up to your wall or something). Well, at least I believe this is the case for most stereos that sit in your living room... On the other hand in the case of your computer you have your printer in one corner of your room, the scanner somewhere in your desk, the stereo that you connect your soundcard to your right, etc. That's why I think that the products I mention here isn't such a good solution in the case of a computer room.

I believe I gave a clear picture about the problem. Also I believe that most of us face the same problem. So how did you solve it? Any good suggestions? Have a nice weekend.
