Well Universal Asynchronous Receiver/Transmitter doesn't SOUND parallel port like... I s'pose that depends on where you look at it; If you wanted to connect an extrenal UART to a processor, you'd most likely have to use a parallel connection... unless it was one of those UARTs with an I2C interface... Are we all thoroughly confused yet?! |
