#81747 - Induced noise Responding to: ???'s previous message |
We all know the AC drives are noisy beasts - I'm assuming the motor cable is heavily shielded - either in steel conduit or with a braided screen. The cables should be routed away from your instrumentation signals. The other thing I could suggest is earthing - your nice earth wire looks like an inductor - copper strap is recommended here. Try using an oscilloscope with the earth wire of the probe looped to the probe. Crank up the vertical gain and go sniffing around wires with this crude rf probe to see where the noise is happening. |
