Can you rule out that the flickering is not caused by an insufficient load? Thyristors have a minimum hold current, go below this and they WILL flicker.


Yes, I can completely rule out the fact that flickering is not due to improper loading of thyristor. I am using our standard test insrument with 100W lamps. This instrument can detect all sort of thryristor firing problems including half firing.
