#82901 - Brainstorming Responding to: ???'s previous message |
You're quite welcome Raghunathan, and thank you.
As for this NTS (or whatever acronym it goes by in other parts of the world), I was hoping this thread might turn into a brainstorming session for ideas of how it might be exploited. I've been using the nistime program to keep my computers' clocks accurate for a number of years now, and also to keep a log of daily corrections. We also have a clock that set's itself using the radio signal. It's an analogue clock which makes it interesting to watch when we go onto, and off of, daylight savings time. So I know that embedded systems are getting access to the internet. And for those projects that don't have network access it wouldn't be too prohibitive to add a small RF receiver to a design. That being the case, I wondered what other, perhaps novel, applications we might come up with for these services. Anyway, it's something to ponder over the weekend. |
