#83567 - Different Look :) Responding to: ???'s previous message |
If I can put some words.
I think that discussion about using any family of small microprocesors is more simple that look. If you are engineer , you use a kind of family with witch you are meet. On my study I was invaited with Zilog Z80 and Intel c51. We have a test boards, compilers and exercices only with these ones. I cant see any important differences it work quite similar in many application. But when I want to buitd any appliace , i prefer C51 , it takes much more space on board :). I know about AVR, PIC, etc, but in laboratory was only older chips. So I can think and making in C51 or Z80. About aplication I saw a Motorola, Atmel ATMEGA and Dallas C51 family in equipement EIB. I saw a Philips C51 too. So as you said, you can use different chips, family for making systems with the same functionality, connected by one protocol. |
