#83677 - When you can buy why make ? Responding to: ???'s previous message |
But Russell, it is quite possible that Thomas is targetting a specific market segment that needs certain features and not a universal one for want of simplicity in setting up. A simple case is the plastic injection moulding machines - each one will need something like 6 units of what he described - and they are very price sensitive. Hello Raghu , You are right, there is a specialised sequence. There is a sequence way in which the heat has to be turned up, and also some interlocking has to be provided which is why I am looking for a micro to do this sequencing and the temperature control. As far as injection molding machines are concerned , the market is so well catered to in all segments , you could not get in edgewise. The PLCs have 6 channels ( 4 are needed generally) built in , and I have still seen being made , hand operated ones with rheostatic temperature control. Please do give me further leads if and when further inspiration arrives. Regards Thomas |
