ya andy,
ISP lies in upper block of program memory available to chip, probably upper 256/512 bytes. ISP has lot many features, but if you have a bog program, you can erase and overwrite that area slso. but then you loose ISP re-prgammability, then you will have to use some parallel programmer. one V.imp use of ISP is use IPA function calls within your program to use unused part of FLASH to work as your data-memory, Philips call it IAP - In-Application-Programming. some of LPC chips suport this, e.g. LPC92X , LPC93x series, may be many more also do. hitesh |
