When I saw this, I mentioned it to my boss who then admitted that he arranged for its publication on another forum. He explained that anytime you publish source code you run the risk of it generating questions from people who want to modify it for their own needs. So you need to make sure you have the technical resources available to support it. This is the reason why it hasn't been published in other channels. But he felt that user forums usually have highly experienced people who are quite capable of handling the issues on their own and will also help less experienced members of the forum. So, its okay. |
