but when I test it on the micorcontroller and the MAX232 it doesn't show any output
WARNING: the below is under the assumption that you use a "standard" derivative, NOT one push-pull configurable. Reset the processor, see what happen on the RS-232 when you short uC Txd to ground. Then see what happen to uC Rxd when the other end transmit. Erik |
