#86145 - Integrity of support professionals Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Hi Michael,
Your post was quite interesting to read. If in a place like USA, and with your level of contacts in the industry, you feel that the support for LabVIEW is minimal, you can very well imagine the situation here. I also felt the same when one or two odd guys who promised support on this, came out blank when I was keen to know how they would handle multiple VIs so that the full multi threading capabilities can be optimized. And the rates they quoted were ridiculous. I did look at some jobs they did - the usual stuff : No neatness in coding, no or useless comments, and a whole lot of unwanted junk code in the project folder ( mostly named as Trial_1, Tryout_2 etc) and finally unstructured monolithic code. It would be a nightmare to support such trash. I do believe that if you really take pride in what you do and have that fire in the belly to deliver the best, the line between a pro and amatuer starts thinning out.. Regards Raghu |
