#86710 - Most graphic interfaces... Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Most GUI systems I have worked on require much more real memory than a typical 8051 can support in a reasonable manner. It is usually far more practical to use a PC type platform or a SBC type computer to host GUI type applications. I ask you to consider how many modern Palm's and Color cell phones are based on 8051 derivatives.
All that said I do believe that small monochrome graphics LCDs of the types shown on my project page are very realistic on 8051 type designs with chips that have 32K or more bytes of FLASH and 4K or 8K bytes of on chip XRAM. Michael Karas |
