The chip that was supposed dead due to Xilinx purchase and then appeared magically with a chinese name (what was its name)>

There was a dev kit with a small color display (I looked into it, but was told VFD or no sale by customers). I hope this will jog someones memory.

While I would be somewaht reluctant of using this chip based on the history, the uC with PLD can be recreated with 2 chips.
