#86996 - Webmaster editing for PRE tags |
I (as all of us) often see messages posted with listings that do not include PRE formatting tags, making it hard to read. In the interest of not getting into the "message editing" business I have just tolerated them like everyone else.
However, I'd like everyone's feedback as to whether or not you all think it would be appropriate for me, as webmaster, to go in and add PRE tags when they are missing? On one hand, it solves the problem of messages without PRE tags. On the other hand, the message poster may not learn to add the tags themselves--but in the second case, some people don't learn anyway so I'm not sure how much would really be lost by going back and doing it for them.
