Very beginner so don't know a lot of thing.
http://www.8052.com/codelib/lcd_kepad.asm how to connect the key pad? LCD to port 3 and port 1 keypad? Port 0? if using port 0 must pull up resistor right? Anyway, can I connect only LCD but not keypad? juz to test the display first, using this code. Plenty of resource saying that the contrast for LCD should connect to ground or voltage between Vss and Vcc. Some said contrast voltage should connect to -5V. This made me so confuse.
