When I first started the design, I chose the 51 because it has a lot of IO pins, and with the idea of just putting on the pcb the uC and the LCD display, with some resistors.... If I have to restart the design with external logic, I'd probably make it with a different uC !!!! It was a mistake not to check what will happen when I wire (trough resistors) two pins of the same 8051 , but I think that there must be an easier way than buffers.
Furthermore, I have the pcb prototypes, I'd love to recycle them with minor changes. Greetings Sebastián |
