Gee, Erik, where do you get your information? "LPC" can also mean "Low Priced Controller". Although, 100 pins might be "low pin count" in the ARM arena - I don't know since I don't work with those very much. Interesting rumor. A rumored part might have the "LPC" designation not just for its 2-clock core, but also because it has LPC900 peripherals, its Port pin-alternate function assignment might match the LPC900 family instead of the classic '51 family; for example TXD and RXD on P1 pins (LPC9xx style) instead of on P3 (classic 8051 style). But then these are just rumors. |
