You are entirely correct. The 'illustrative' examples I presented will also fail, and for the same reason that Don had detailed in his earlier post.

try:

ie printf("lots of constant info %bd, 5);
printf("lots of constant info %bd ,%bd, %bd, 5, 6, 7); // pushing it!

They were illustrative in that I was trying to show what I meant by passing printf() too much.

Please tell me exactly why you think it needs work, and I'll will happily try to sort any problems.

I appologise to Don for my earlier post, but I still don't think his tone is productive. It just makes me angry.
