If I must replace the discontinued P78C751 with the ATMega8 I switched also to C.
Especially the free WINAVR compiler generate very efficient code. And the I2C of the ATMega8 is identical to the I2C of the P80C552,. Thus I could reuse this piece of code from the 80C552 on the ATMega8, because C is portabel. Peter |
