#89300 - 8051 vs DSP
Responding to: ???'s previous message
I just received my TMS320F2812 development board with c/c++ compilers and assembler (code composer studio). I never seen such power and speed before, 6nsec instruction cycle 150MHz clock, 16 channel 80nSec 12 bit ADC, 18KRAM on chip 64K x 16 RAM onboard, 128k Flash 32 bit processor, 56 i/o pins etc..
Free code libraries for all sorts of aplication, come to think of it why re invent the wheel, just reuse code if it is available.
