Now that you know the amps required. peek 400ma on the drive which
is going to be the high. The contoller is not going nearly that much. Make sure you have a power supply the can handle about say 500ma peek. A good indication your power suply is not up to snuff is the MCU will reset during certain conditions like hard drive spin up. will unless you have a good brown out detect chip on the reset line. Grab your meter and put it on the power rails. |
