#89369 - adapter and board Responding to: ???'s previous message |
we already have designed and built an adapter board for the drive, that should connect it to the development board. This board includes the appropriate signal conditioning resistors as well as some capacitors, and available connections to the development board. it can be veiwed here. The IDE adapter is the one we built, and we have also recently received the generic adapter from Atmel, which we will use to probably use compact flash instead of a hard drive. We have also used an external power source to power the hard drive (which meets the amp requirements). I'm just at a loss as to why it might not be working. As of right now, i'm thinking it's more of a hardware problem than an 8051 problem. Thanks for all the help though. |
